The leadership of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is advising all cops who intend to vote in the upcoming Local Government Elections to verify that their names are on the police voters’ list.

Members of the security forces are slated to vote on Wednesday ahead of the local polls next Monday.

The police high command notes that the final police voters’ list was circulated last week to all divisions within the constabulary.

It says police personnel should check to ensure their names are on the list and verify the polling station at which they are slated to cast their ballots.

It says these checks can be made through the various general offices, or at divisional head stations across Jamaica.

Cops who have retired since 2007 are also being asked to check on their voting status to ensure that they are either on the police or civilian voters’ list.

Following the December 29 general election, several police personnel complained that they were not able to vote because their names were not listed in the correct constituencies.
