MALVERN, St Elizabeth:
Three hours before the close of polls in the local government election, former Jamaica and West Indies cricketer Darren Powell is relying in the work he has done in the run-up to the polls to secure his win in the Malvern Division, St Elizabeth.

But Powell is not calling his fate just yet.

"We won't count our eggs too early, Election Day can be very tricky so we are doing the work on the ground," Powell said.

Powell who is a People’s National Party first-time candidate is facing off with Donald Simpson of the Jamaica Labour Party.
