WESTERN BUREAU:

The momentum established by the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) in the 2003 local government elections came forcefully to light Monday night. Three of the party's mayors will sit in Gordon House as new Members of Parliament.

They are Noel Donaldson of the Montego Bay North Eastern division, who has won the South St. James seat; Robert 'Bobby' Montague of the Carron Hall division, who has won the West St. Mary seat and Franklyn Witter of the Junction division, who has won the South East St. Elizabeth seat.

Their deputies will become mayor as soon as they resign to sit in the House.
